- Re-establishment of RBMS and EUS/FDS integration of Life One System -
Korea Expert (CEO Yoo In-ji) announced that it had successfully completed the construction of the insurance core area by participating in KB Life’s ‘Track2 Development’ project.
After KB Life Insurance and Prudential Life Insurance were integrated into KB Life in 2022, a project to build LOS (Life ONE System), an integrated system that can transfer the contracts held by both companies to one platform, was carried out for about a year.
Korea Expert carried out work to integrate the RBMS (Business Rule-Based Management System), EUS (Underwriting Automation System), and FDS (Fraud Detection System) that were being used individually by both companies.
RBMS (Business Rule-Based Management System): A system that supports decision-making by checking limits and various conditions for new contracts, contract changes, and payment tasks based on information from the product system.
EUS (Underwriting Automation System): Based on internal and external (Korea Credit Information Service, etc.) information, guides whether subscription is possible from the subscription design stage and determines acceptance at the subscription stage.
FDS (Fraud Detection System): Reviews claims based on internal and external information and automatically provides review results such as automatic payment/general review/special review/investigation.
This system pursues a cloud-native architecture and adopts a system configuration that considers availability and scalability, while creating a flexible rule management environment through linkage between the product system and RBMS. This is not just a migration of the existing system, but a stable construction of an integrated system tailored to the new environment.
Vice President Jinhee Bae, who was in charge of the PL for this project, said, “The key task was to stably transfer the different work standards of both companies and integrate them into the new system environment.” He added, “In particular, we provide convenient functions centered on the person in charge, and provide new products and “Customer satisfaction was high because the system was built with an expandable structure that can flexibly respond to market demands,” he said.
Meanwhile, Korea Expert specializes in systems that can efficiently support various core tasks of insurance companies, including EUS/FDS, rate management, coefficient verification, product management, and loss ratio evaluation, with technology in AI/big data analysis and decision-making automation systems. are supplying.
